Ravens at Colts Preview

By Ryan Foray

Peyton Manning has lead the Colts to another #1 seed appearance, and is looking for his second ring in Miami this year. He won his 4th MVP this season and judging from how he played this year, there’s no doubt he was the true favorite. The Ravens crushed the Patriots by forcing turnovers all day on Tom Brady and the Patriots, winning 33-14. This probably my favorite matchup of the weekend and I look for it to be a great game.

Why the Colts will win: Peyton Manning is a 4 time MVP. Just persistent passing and strong defense will win it for them.

Why the Ravens will win: If the Ravens can make the Colts turn the ball over like they did to New England last week, this could be the same result. Baltimore needs to take advantage of every possible chance to score. Joe Flacco only completed 4 passes last weekend thanks in part to the defense. He will have to be flawless and push the ball around to their receivers. Look for Homerun playmaker Ray Rice to open up the passing game by gaining extra yards on every rushing play

The True Factor: Can the Ravens Defense be as strong as they were last weekend? The Colts do not make too many mistakes on the offensive side. It will be interesting to see how the Ravens try to force Manning out of the pocket.

Prediction: I see the same intensity as last week for the Ravens. The Colts will come close, but I just see the Ravens making a great run in the playoffs. Low Scoring Game but it will come down to a field goal.

RAVENS 20, COLTS 17
